Price is my only concern at the moment.... I have a 1050$ budget at the moment and I am dropping 700$ right now on those subs... So that leaves me with 350$ for an amp + headunit + deck (might be getting 1 for free from a friend so I dont have to worry about that solely right now.

I have 350$ for the amp + headunit + custom box + installation?

Does tha tsound reasonable? Or am I not quite there. Worst case scenario I can sell my current dual 10" subs.... and my amp... Not sure how much it would make me but Yeah. any thought appreciated.

Also if anyone could text me and just give me tips and ideas because I am soon to be a new and proud owner of a F150

to get it installed would probably be like 350 but no joke installing sounds is the easiest thing out there. the stereo took me ten minutes to hook up out side the audio shop and the amp took a little longer since i had to run cables but it wouldnt take more than three hours. just make sure to buy a harness for your stereo dont ever cut into factory wire and thats about it

How much would a harness + head unit + custom box and a new amp run me?

well lets just include harness with instalation equipment. the equipment would run you 30 dollars for all the stereo equipment then the amp requires wire so that would be 40-50 depending on what size and brand wire you get. custom box about 120 then amp could range about 150-300 if i were you i would get a f150 supercab then you can have the whole space were the rear seat goes then either buy some decent speakers with a regualar box it would sound a whole lot better, be cheaper only down side i dont know if you want to loose the space

Yeah I am not willing to lose the space. Main reasons for upgrading out of jeep are for safety and space. I just ordered the Subs, JLs cost me 750$ for both. I cant believe the tax was 60$...... OUTRAGEOUS

Thanks for the feedback, and I know I asked but, Is it more worth my while getting another 1000 watt amp for my subs, 1 amp per sub or should i use my current 1000 to power the headunit and get a new amp for the subs?

u should jus leave the stereo to produce the power for the speakers and jus go off ebay to get another amp exactly as the one you have

Here is your delima... You want to be able to shake the vehicles next to you but you are on a limited budget. Is it impossible, no. Is it difficult, yes. Here is why:

You don't know what vehicle you're getting which makes it difficult to know what kind of space you are working with, plus you say you don't want to give up any space. Again it sounds like there is not a lot to work with, but will do what I can to help. Assuming you want to keep the use of your reat seat, using a box that fits underneath is about all you can do.

Don't be discouraged by people saying shallow mounts are garbage. They work just fine. A lot of people think a sub is no good unless it has a huge magnet hanging off the back of it. Truth is, most people don't supply enough CLEAN POWER to those subs to effectively run them. (2) 13.5's will play low and loud if you have the amp to do it with.

Will the Boss Amp play them? Probably not, since it is not 1-ohm stable. Those subs are rated for 1200 watts max, that is not how much power you want to run to them constantly. Also that amp will not run 2 of those subs. It does not have the stability to run at 1.5 ohms which is what you would have with 2 3-ohm subs. If you can afford it look at these amps. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...I-1000.1D.html
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...TS-1000.1.html

It is a more efficient amp that is class-d and 1-ohm stable. You are going to want to run a class-d 1-ohm stable amp on those subs or you will have to buy 2 amps that are 2-ohm stable. Using 2 amps will require more cabling to install as well as distribution blocks for power and ground.

To be loud sacrifices have to be made. I'm still lost as to why you would by subs that cost 700$ before you even kno what vehicle there going in... As a matter of a fact most reg. Cab full size trucks can fit w0 and there Awsome. And the statement about people wanting to buy subs with huge magnets is true. You don't always need the biggest sub to get what your looking for and in your case you can't but I really don't think shallows is what you want. But o well

thanks for the opinions. The reason I chose shallows is that no matter what model I get I can fit them in.

CLTGT thank you for the long response . I have enough money to cover either one of those amps, which would be the best for me?

Thanks
