Dynamat question
For those of yall who have added Dynamat or other type of sound deading material to your doors. Do you remove the black dust cover off the door then add the dynamat then put the dust cover back on? or just remove the black plastic and leave it off? It won't hurt anything to not have it will it? I hope that makes sense!

I mean...I might as well have. It's not like I'm missing anything, it's just that was a free layer of protection, and I got excited and threw my door panels back on and trashed the black sheet.

Does the black sheeting provide protection from weather elements?

I am headed to Charlottesville, VA tonight and will be swinging by Crutchfield in the AM to pick up some dynamat. Or best buy if they have it, its a lot closer to my parents place.

Essentially yes but moisture will always permeate at the window seal so its relatively redundant. Its just nice having an extra layer or padding after the dynamat. Are you going to close off the opening in the door panel with dynamat and some abs as well?

I'm not real sure if I am going to close of the openings or not. If i cut out the openings I can use those crap pieces in other locations that don't really need full coverage. What do you mean by "abs as well?"
