Default Double DIN HU in 2017 XLT?

Hey guys...I just joined yesterday after picking up a brand new, 2017 XLT.

I'm hoping that someone can point me in the right direction...I was wondering if a Pioneer double din HU will fit into the truck AND if the backup camera will work with it?

If this has been asked and answered before, could someone post a link for me?

If it helps, I got the 301A package with the smaller 4" screen. Not sure if that matters or not.

Thank you!!!

Thanks...I actually have an unused/brand new head unit still in the box.
I just want to know if anyone has put one in a 2017? And if so, does it work with the stock backup camera?

There isn't a dash kit for the 2017 yet. There is finally one for 15-16 but I am not sure if they will work in a 17. If it doesn't then your only option is to use the factory HU and upgrade the speakers, amp etc.

After further investigation it does say it is compatible with a 17.

Just looked at that. Looks really nice, but a bit too expensive right now. I appreciate you sending me the link though.

Like you suggested, I will just concentrate on using the stock radio and adding an amp, sub, and upgraded speakers.

Thanks!

Yep. You can always add an HU later. You might be pleased with the sound you get by changing speakers, adding a sub an an amp.

I did just that very setup with the truck I traded in, a 2013 Nissan Frontier. When I got that one there was no dash kit, so just left the HU and upgraded everything else.

Been reading the thread on using the wiring harness, ISO-SOT-984-w, so there's no cutting and splicing into the factory harness.

That is the Parrot harness. It works on a 2015-16. Not sure about the 2017 yet

Well...I reached out to Scosche just to check with them and they said that the FD6209B kit will work on a 2017.

However, since it is WAY overpriced at $500 I will pass.
