So as an update, I have it all working with the Scosche adapter from Amazon. So for the base radio, the PAC adapter is for sure not needed, and Amazons fitment guide is incorrect.
That small connector that was in my old radio must be the CAN network, as I didn't use it.
My dashboard display up top just says "Built Ford Tough" and the temperature. No more clock display. I am OK with that. Although it's a pretty useless display.
Like was mentioned earlier in this thread, I had to pull accessorie power from fuse 38 in the kick panel. Not happy about that at the moment, but I am going to start a new thread on that.
Currently just running through the stock speakers, and I don't have my dash back together yet. I am wrapping the pieces I took off in Vinyl. That's next weekends project
