Default Does it hurt if you...

Does it hurt if you mix 2 and 4ohm speakers (i.e. 4s in the front door and 2s in the back)?

depends on the source. Your headunit needs 4 ohm speakers.

all headunits run off 4ohm resistance.

The speaker determines the resistance not the head unit.

Back to the origional question. There should be no problems running two different loads on the deck, but 2 ohms may work the deck pretty hard regardless.

You need to match the resistance with at least what the head unit requires if you go to a lower resistance than the head unit supports you will fry the head unit a lower resistance will act as a short in the speaker wires.
