Ok, I recently got a pioneer avh-p4400bh. I know that the lime green wire is supposed to get hooked up to the parking brake but do I actually have to hook it up to anything?

Yes and no. If you want to use it to watch dvds then you have to. If that doesn't matter to you then you dont have to.

Just make sure you get the right one.

I guess I should have said something earlier. Hopefully you didn't spend uch on a bypass as you can use a standard relay to do it.

The new Pioneers require a double pulse. A standard relay will not work.

That will work and so would a relay. I was wrong. The 2013 models need the double pulse....

Hey guys. I tried the old relay trick on my AVH-X5600BHS with no luck. At first it seemed to work, but after a day of frustration, I finally gave up and called my buddy. He said he got his installed at a local shop that used a bypass from www.diybypass.com. I already had completed my install so I just went and ordered it from amazon and it works amazing! I see people bring this up all of the time here so I just wanted to recommend it so that people don't waste their time with the relay. Here's the info for the item that I bought.
