I'll add more info later but thought I'd give you the heads up. I am tired of setting my system by ear and blowing speakers now and then so I decided to get an oscope and set it to not clip but I saw the SMD distortion dectector and it looked cheap enough and easy to use so I got it.

Like I said I'll go into more detail later but in summary I thought wtf, did I get a bad unit or a bad amp because the distortion light was on even at really low volume. Some TS later it was telling me I had a bad RCA from the HU to the SP.

Didnt expect that but now I know where all of my equip distorts at and I can now crank it with crystal clear sound and NO distortion!!!

FYI: I did not get paid, dont work for them, dont know them etc, just thought I'd pass something usefull to you all.

Hell yeah, a friend of mine has an SMD DD-1 it's truly great, won't tune a system by eat again, great to know your gettin clean, un clipped signal
