pioneer avh-p4000dvd
I had good experience with this unit, it is bluetooth, xm, sirius, ipod, usb, rear camera, steering control, compatible and will not break the bank on unit. you can find them between $300-$400. but the catch with all of them is....ipod cable 39, xm module 99-149, steering module 49-100, bluetooth module, 140-200, rear camera 100-200. this unit is not gps....but it is reliable and you will have to buy all the cables regarless depending on what ops you want to keep. but, at least you will get the reliable head unit cheap. Hope this helps.
its also 6.5 and touchscreen

Here is my email to the advisors @ Crutchfield:
Now, I suppose I could have been a little more clear on the aux-in thing. I currently have a Starmate 4 radio. I would like to use the 3.5mm stereo cable to provide the audio in. This is what I did in my Mazda. If the cost of adding a sirius module to the unit, then the necessity of the aux-in jack goes down. With the phone supporting bluetooth and the radio already having it, with iPod support... the requirement for the aux-in jack is not a necessity anymore. A front mounted jack would be acceptable and desired in this scenario.
So there you go. I think this is the unit I am going to go with. I will add a satellite radio module and possibly an iPod cable. It does look like it has a USB port that comes with it so this might not be necessary.
I am looking for a double din Nav unit for my 2004 F-150.
I am having a tough time finding a unit that fits everything I am looking for. So far the closest one I think is the Clarion-NX509, but I am not 100% sold on it yet. A few others have looked like they would be good units as well, Eclipse AVN726E and the Kenwood DNX7120.
It obviously needs to have good navigation. I have a TomTom 920T and the nav must be at least as good as that. I would really like to have maps that are easily up-datable and something that will allow me to easily add POIs. My worry with the Clarion unit is that it only has 2GB of memory. My TomTom has 4 GB and is a bit full. Also start up time is a concern. My drive to work is very short and I don't want it to take more than maybe a minute for the unit to be up and ready to use. I don't need the navigation to get to work I just want to listen to the radio, cd, or ipod for these trips. The voice directions should be clear and audible. I have seen a few units that reviewers said were too quiet.
In reality the areas I most likely will be cover the great lakes region. Poor Alaska or Wyoming support (etc) is not a huge deal. I am most concerned with Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, & PA. Something with good coverage east of the Mississippi is probably all I will really need. I don't want to limit myself though too severely if I am spending this much money. I have seen some units that will work with an iPhone to accept updates for POIs and navigate you to them. This would be a good compromise I think.
I require there to be at least one Axillary input. I prefer it to be in the rear as I already have jacks mounted in the truck and would be hooking them into the receiver. I also will be adding a rear-view camera in the near future. Bluetooth is also required. I don't mind buying a module to support this, however the cost of the receiver must also be proportionally less to make up for this glaring lack of features. If it can be easily (And without too much added cost) include Satellite radio (Sirius) then the aux-in becomes less of a priority. In that case putting the unit aux-input in the front would be acceptable and ideal. Especially if it supports bluetooth for my phone.
Loosely based on priority, here is my list of required features:

- I am ok purchasing modules to add Sirius and BT, but I do not wish to pay $1000 for a unit that lacks these features. Especially the bluetooth as this in my opinion should be a no brainer standard feature today.
Hello Ben,
Thanks for your e-mail, and for shopping the Crutchfield web site.
Thanks for the detailed, and thorough list of needs and priorities, it is of great help for me to give you a recommendation. Based on your priorities, current navigation piece, and update concerns, and vehicle, I recommend the Kenwood DNX6140. This unit has Garmin navigation, which is at least as good, or better than the TomTom portable units. This unit has an SD card slot for updates, and changes, Bluetooth by Parrot, and capability for satellite radio. None of the units available today have satellite radio built in. I hope this helps in some way.

Crutchfield told you that it has an SD card slot, if it does, I can't find it. I think you have to update maps etc. with a CD or DVD. I managed to find mine locally for $800 with a free install kit and wiring harness. It took a few hours to install it since I had to cut the internal dash mount to fit the double din.
BTW, I added the iPod cable and also the HD radio receiver. HD radio is great in the St. Louis area.

I believe the SD slot is there. It is just not really documented. I remember reading another review about it where they said it was there but it wasn't too clear how to use it and the manual didn't say either. I will look for that review and post back.

I hope you find that review because if the SD slot is there, it is not accessible from the front. What is undocumented is the mini USB connector that is on the back. It is intended to be used to connect the traffic receiver but others have said that it is another USB port. I connected a cable to mine and ran it out just in case someone comes up with a use for it.

I don't have mine yet, BUT this is what I have found:
Also, try this:
Hold the disk eject button for 5 seconds, maybe longer and the screen pops down an additional inch or so to reveal a hidden SD slot.

It seems you are correct...
It looks like you can use a USB card reader to do the trick? I ordered my unit already based on the Crutchfield advisor's recommendation... I emailed them back to get some more clarification... hopefully everything works out... I just dropped $$$ on the unit + accessories... so this better work.
