Default Custom sub box (build in progress)

After finishing a custom install (full system) in my daily driver (BMW330i), I decided to work on the FX4's system.

Heres a shot of my install on the BMW(took about 2 weekends to complete).

Now for the FX4's
This box was fairly complicated: The size has to be perfect to fit a sub with a top mounting depth of 5.875. I also had to figure a way such that the excursion of the sub wouldn't hit the seat. I also had to incorporate the cubic footage and tried to make it equidistant between subs and as close to ideal as possible. The type R 10 has a max X of around .75 inches so I will be putting spacer mounts on the box(sort of like a baffle) to allow the seat to set on and the sub to extent unobstructed. I will also be putting spacers on the seat mounts themselves. These spacers will be around 20mm and will be bolted between the seat brackets in the factory position with the factory bolts(6 in all).
This was a test run for fitment

I will have pics of all this up tomorrow if you need anymore info or ideas. I will also be building an amp rack for two Rockford Power series amps, hopefully I will be able to post those pics as well.

If you need specs IM me.

are you going to router the top of the box around the edge so that it gives it a smoother look when carpeted? Looks good so far!

That really isnt going to be the top of the box. I have a .75 inch baffle going on top if it, to help with support of the seat. That will have a routed 45 degree edge to give it a smooth look
