6.5's, get some 6.5 components and you will be happier than you ever could have been...youll be able to make 2 sets of those look stock and good in your truck, or you can have some fun with fiberglass and get a lil crazy oh how i love to fiberglass

This is where we will have to disagree. I am running 2 sets of JL Audio ZR series components in my 2009 Maxima one set of 6.5" in custom fiberglass kick panels and one set of 5x7s in the factory door location and can tell no difference. You also have to consider that if you are going to do the work yourself that if you just replace your factory speakers the 5x7s with just screw right into the stock holes and the 6.5"s you will have to do some modifications to the stock speaker pod. Now given that its not hard to do but nonetheless you still have to do some cutting.

the front door's come with stock 6.5 brackets, there is no modification for them, i have stated many times the rears will take work, and there is no way you will convince us that a coaxle speaker can get you the staging a component set can

I will take your word that the holes will line up. I usually just stick with the stock size if possible in the doors. But I was installing a set of Kicker SS65.2 in the front doors of my 06 F150 and had to do some cutting to make them fit. I think it all just depends on the size of the magnet on the speaker you choose.
