Stock wire gauge is fine up to around 100W RMS, I'd recommend amping them with a 2 channel A/B class around 80-100 W RMS per channel..

Pick the components you want to use then pick a amp with the same rms per channel you don't want to have a component set that will take 200w and only give it 50w and really it will sound a lot louder and sound better than anything powered by the headunit most headunits are rated at 50w x 4ch peak and 15-25w x 4ch rms

Make sure you only look at RMS wattage, peak is useless. I like to leave amp headroom with my components (i.e. my 60W RMS components are getting 100W RMS). That way you don't have to worry about distorting the signal before the speakers reach their potential.

Say i get one of those sepeakers.

What kind of amp would i need?

And how would you wire them? would you just strip off the wire connectors that i am using for stock speakers and use the stock wire to connect them?

how would you power the amp and what wire would you use to go from the amp to the speakers?

im new into this car audio stuff. srry for the nooby questions.

Move up to the Pioneer Premier TS-D720C (my set up) if you're gonna spend around a bill.

Depends, if your truck was made at Deerborn, you've got molex connectors at your doors and its a PITA to add new speaker wire, if not, run some 16 AWG or so. If your truck has the molex, put the crossovers in the doors, if not, put them in the kicks or a-pillars and run new wire to the speakers and tweets. There is already a location in the doors behind the grill for the tweets.

Knukonceptz.com hands down for the amp kit and speaker wire.

Any 80-100W RMS 2 channel amp should do fine for you, get it used or refurbished on ebay or diyma.com, get a decent brand.
