What's your price point? Definitly check out the hot deals section on diyma.com

Speaker recommendations are real subjective, but I like my Pioneer Premier TSD720C, even come with the 6x8 bracket. Was able to find them in the $120 range IIRC.

Now the question,,,,,,,,, you say good and loud. what amp and head unit do you have... you are not gonna get good and loud with the stock head unit and just speakers.

Goodness gracious! Louder??? I currently have the factory radio with SYNC running to a JL Audio XD400/4 powering 4 kappas 5x7 in the doors and sometimes I think my ears are going to bleed and I do 80 on the highway with the windows down. Maybe upgrade the amp and put some Audiobahn ABC600J's in there... they are 140 rms @ 91dB.

How do you like these speakers? I'm going to upgrade to components and I was concerned about the woofer not fitting in the factory location due to it being 6.75.

I like them a lot, real clean and accurate sound, even with my crappy factory source. I've got them amped at 100W RMS a channel.

They actually fit perfect, they come with the adapter, and Pioneer has made enough 6x8s to know how to make the bracket. Minor trimming with a razor was needed to get the stock tweeter holes opened up enough, but the tweeter frames fit perfectly down in the stock recess. Here's a pic in another F150:

They are without a doubt the biggest diameter round woofer you can fit without cutting the door skin.
