I went to my trucks Menu and went to Settings, My Vehicle, Memory and Switched Memory from Standard to Memory On. The trucks HU is functioning perfect now coming on with sound every time, every Senario I duplicate it has worked perfect now. I hope this is a permanent fix, time will tell! I don't know a lot about this function but Wyo11Scab you made me think harder by your quote^ I kept telling my wife its as if its loosing its memory or signal! Thanks guys and I will keep you informed incase this is a permanent fix. Keep your fingers crossed!

Well i went to page 36 of owners manual and looked under Settings: Apparently the Menu control really is suppose to be 2 ways for navigating to main menu or previous lower level menu. So this could be that this is just a intermittent problem and i really did nothing at all. Well there goes all the air out of my sails! LOL,

Stereo still working perfectly! Not. I turned the key to the accessory but did not tun engine over and stereo came on with sound. Turned key on over to start and stereo playing and NO Sound. Press power button off and back on then all good. I am going to take it back to installer or pull the HU out myself and check connections, ground.

I'm new to car audio, what is PAC and what is it for? Do I need it to install a small amp for new door speakers?

The PAC unit plugs in between the stereo and the truck wiring harness and gives you a set of RCA outputs and a remote turn on lead. You don't absolutely need it, but it is the only way to install an amp that is completely plug and play. If you don't use it you will have to cut or tap factory wiring. Note that the PAC unit will not work with the new stereos with the 4 inch screen in the dash

I don't think there is an anything available for you. You'll have to tap into your speaker wires after the Sony amp. I'm assuming you have Sony since you have MFT
