Default CB Radio Install

I am looking to install a CB radio for work in my 2014 and needing some help/advice. I am not going to drill any holes, I am wanting to use a magnetic low profile antenna on the roof. Is it possible to run the antenna cable through the third brake light? If so any pictures would be much appreciated. And does anyone know of a good low profile antenna. I don't need one with much range as I am driving around a job site and only needing to talk within that site.

Also, is it smart/possible to mount the radio in the center console? I didn't know if there is a way to snake the wires into the console. Then I was thought about too much heat.

Thanks for any help!

the brake light won't seal if you run a cable through it. And you can run wires anyway you want if you just pop the panels off. But without drilling any holes it's probably gonna be a lot more of a hassle.

You can go through the vents in the back or the holes in the floor.

What I am looking for is a way to mount the antenna on the roof and hide the cable as much as possible. I don't really want it running down the back or into a door. I dont know if there is another possible way to do this if the brake light wont seal itself.

Short of drilling holes, there is no way of mounting it to the roof with a magnetic mount and have your wires hidden. I mount dual antennas in my box and ran the wires through the vents at the back of the cab.

I don't know why it won't rotate properly, sorry

The only option I can suggest is a glass-mount antenna like this:

A buddy of mine had one on his '98 Olds Alero - but his reception wasn't great.

Or there's this <http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...BJQxoC1Ezw_wcB>

IN the console would be good as an anti-theft deterent, as no one can see it - But then you can't see it either, should you need to.

I just picked up a Uniden PC68LTW and I plan to mount it in my flow-through console. I'll do a write up on that when I get around to it.

No issue there. Unless you boost it to 90Watts and want to talk to the other side of the country.

Nice looking setup there. How do you find the range with the coils below the cab roof? I have a cheapie magnet on my roof now but I found these bad-*** mounts on a Jeep forum last week.

I ran a Wilson mag antenna thru the 3rd tail light with no leaks. The cable is smaller than a CB cable thou. It may still work if you notched out the top of the 3rd tail light a little and added some RTV sealer.
