i like the way everyone tels this guy to do the big 3 - 4 upgrade to his truck using 0 gauge for the alt power but not once did anyone say that he also needs to fuse it to protect the alternator in case of a short in the vehicle so it doesnt fry. and 0 gauge is not nessesary unless he plans to upgrade the alt in the future. 4 or 2 would be just fine for a stock alt and would carry the current without a problem and very little resistance since its only a few feet in length.

first off the stock wire is 4 gauge, second off why do it again later down the road? you dont have to upgrade your alternator to do the big 3 in 0 gauge, and NO you dont have to fuse the wire

My 95 had 4 gauge it depends on the year of vehicle and the type of stock alternator that came in it.
Also any vehicle that came with the 2G alts got trashed for the better 3G.
