Default capacitor

i installed a compacitor to my system yesterday and noticed that the red display is always on even when the truck is off will this run down my battery?

I would think if it is always on it is using a bit of power. Enough to kill the battery I would think not. I would try and get it to turn off when the truck is off just to make sure it does not kill the battery.

A capacitor stores power and it'll only store as much power as the size of the cap.- .5 farard, 1.0farard, etc. once its full it wont pull anymore power from the battery..and it charged when the car is running. It wont kill your battery, I had one in my truck and let it sit for 2 weeks while out of town and it was fine.
