Hi, I just recently picked up a 2001 f150 sport 4x4 and I love it. Now starts the installation of new speakers but I keep getting mixed answers on what size the Cab speakers are and if 6x9 will fit, found an awesome deal on Craigslist on brand new 6x9 Rockford fosgates but I don't wanna buy if they don't fit. any feedback would be great! thanks guys

The proper size speakers are 6 x 8's. I put a set of Infinity Kappas in all four doors of my 2000 XLT. They sound great.

so eventhough i have a 2001 XL it should still have a 6x8 speaker?

Your chances are good that yes it is 6x8 but I would go to crutchfield and double check.
