I really hope that I got a dud but it was returned for repair within two months. I would be very surprised if I see it again. (It cost $50 to return it back to China)

Problems were:
Would not read CD's but it would read DVD's.
It would forget what the date and time were every couple of days.
It would forget the preset radio stations and then it would not find them on the proper frequency IE 92.8 instead of 92.7.
Radio reception was not great with lots of interference.
It is very hard to create your own favorites in the IGO8 GPS software.
The dimmer circuit would not work. It would flash the screen between bright and low with nothing in between.
It did not come with the TV antenna and the antenna leads are mis labeled on the back of the unit.
No cooling fan was installed but the holes and mounts are cut into the back of the chassis. It would get very hot!! Almost too hot to touch the chassis.
etc.

Also beware of the units that are still working on the Win CE 5.0 system. Win CE 6.0 came out in 2006. CE 5.0 still uses the 8.3 file names ffffffff.eee. It makes it hard to figure what your mp3 file names are and slow. Think of the time starting your computer every time you turn on the truck.

I purchased a waterproof camera for the back and that worked great though.

In My Opinion, save your money for a brand name unit!

That 3200bt I have is still going strong and I *LOVE* it, the interface is still extremely easy and the features are very robust.

I am second guessing the above Opinion statement!

Well I got my unit back from China and I indeed did get a dud the first time! The ERising company is very good to deal with! The package arrived here in Regina in 3-4 days from China using HKDHL! (Canada Post took 9 Weeks to get the RMA Parcel to them. I will use DHL from now on!!!)

I purchased this unit. http://www.padphone-world.com/Erisin...io_P275593/CAD

The replacement unit fires right up and produces music within seconds of start up. It has more volume than I will ever use and all of the options work as advertised and as expected.

I really like the fact that the Nav software is on a 2GB SD card and I can play my MP3s off of the separate Micro SD card and still have a USB port to recharge my phone or Palm or MP3 player or run music directly off of a flash drive.

I suspect from their other products that it will even read the songs off of a CD and save them on the Flash storage card.

The only con that I have so far is their version of a light dimmer tends to pulse the screen between lighter and darker. If I leave the dash lights turned up, there is no problem. I do not know if this is a function of the Ford command module or if it is in the Radio itself. Maybe I will install a potential meter to see if it makes a difference.

Lets be fair. The only real difference between most of their in-dash DVD units is the front screen. The computer board and DVD reader are just moved around in the chassis so that the CD/DVD disc aligns with the face plate. The software and options appear to be very similar between the different units.

The 800 x 480 resolution is better than many of the higher priced brand names. Watch for this on your next purchase!!

Overall I would have no problem recommending the ERising DVD player products to anybody at this time. The chassis is a full 2 DIN with plenty of threaded mounting holes on the sides. The cover on the front for the SD / Micro SD and USB ports appears to be thick enough to not break any time soon if I am careful. The quality of the sound it generates is great even through stock speakers.

Take a look at the link that I posted above and see if they have a unit with your name on it.

I haven't enjoyed doing electronics work since back when motherboards were loaded with jumpers.

I just bought the same Pioneer unit about 5 min. ago. How do I know what kind of dash kit and wiring harness to get?

Meta makes a good clean double din (specific to your model) adapter and wiring harness. The adapter depends if you have factory subs or not. A regular without subs is about $15-$20 and with factory subs about $85-$100. I just installed this unit in my truck this pasted weekend, if you have any questions hit me up. OH and here is a great video on how to bypass the parking break.

Kenwood DNX5140 and Metra Double Din Kit.

Retailed between $800-$1000 for the unit. I paid $400.00 shipped (new) on eBay. Keep an eye out because it's a great unit!

What about if you have the factory rear entertainment/DVD. Is there a harness for these to connect to the rear unit? My daughter would likely jump out the window if we cant watch Dora on the way to and from school. Im really wanting one of the Pioneer units or possibly the Kenwood listed above. I dont need a 1200-1500 unit to be honest. I dont really drive it all that much (6k a year). My truck is a 2007 Super Crew Lariat 4x4 with 41k on it.....and suggestions as to if there is compatability in the rear DVD and the Pioneer Double dins? I know I need the steering harness...
