Brand Preference: Kicker, Pioneer, Kenwood...
After reading the posts here I'm going to upgrade just my door speakers and add a little amp. I'm wondering what is the prefence of all that have done it so far. I've had Kenwoods and RFs, and familiar with Kicker. I loved my Kenwoods and will probably go with them. What have those who have done the upgrade found to be the high's and low's to the choices they made?

Im going the infinity route, that's all I hear when I ask about speakers or search around the threads, go to crutchfield.com and check them out and then look around online for a cheaper price! Tha'ts what I do. haha

i have rockfords and they are crystal clear. i wanted to go with crossfire to have a full crossfire system since i have crossfire subs but they were a little out of my price range when i was ready to buy them. i still may go back to crossfire once i gather up some more coin

For door speakers go with Infinity, I have Infinity Reference series 5.25 inch in my front doors and they are very good quality. I have used Kenwood speakers once before and never will again, the sound quality sucked and they burnt out within a year. x2 on using Crutchfield for research but buying at a much cheaper site. Sonix is usually good, but techronics.com is also a great site for cheap, I have bought form there before.

Infinity's are ok but they do lack on the low end a little. But really none of big name popular brands out there are really impressive to me. About the only door speaker Crutchfield carries that is truly impressive are the Focal's, but again this is my opinion. If I were purchasing a set today and looking for great sound but not break the bank, I would get a set of RE's (Resonant Engineering). Check out audiosavings.com...they have a great selection, awesome prices and super fast shipping!
