I have a Alpine type x 12'' sub with a box that is roughly 1.8-1.9 cu ft. I have a 3 inch round port for it. What freq should I tune it to so I can figure out what length of port I need. I also would like recommendations on how many watts I should run to this sub to make it sound good but not destroy it? I listen to mostly music with lots of bass. Thanks.

This is a good site to check it lets you put the measurements in and play around with port size to get the notes you want check out the12volt.com

You'll want to use at least a 4" round port for that sub. You'll most likely get port noise with just a 3".
