Buy a PAC and run RCA cables to them. Much easier than splicing.

I have a 2013 and after reading, those cables do not with with my truck. And I'm not splicing into the wires. I bought the metra adapters for the speakers I have have cables with just wire on the copper wire at the end. I was going to connect the sub audio into that connection.

Use these. No cutting wires. Just put in place and crimp. They are called quick splice and you can get them at any auto parts store.

^^ the above wire taps blow big donkey *****. will always be the cause of a problem they will become loose and lose contact with the wires, just a cheap. not a good source of audio quality either. go to pacaudio and buy a amp addition wiring adapter that will turn the audio signals to rca. will never have a problem. they sell the amplifier integration adapters on ebay for like 30 bucks and it will give you a amp remote wire.

PAC is also a good option. I've been using these connections for years and have never had an issue. Of course a little electrical tape to keep them snug is recommended.

I will always stay away from those scotch locks. We had a shop trailer and it kept getting shorts due to these letting moisture in. Unforently factory's don't add electrical tape over these. I've just had really bad experiences with them. The PAC wire harness doesn't work for my model year.

I still plan on running the high out put speaker wires through the rubber boot and through the floor channel back to the subs. I still haven't found how to remove the plastic piece that runs up and down the side of the cab between the drivers and passengers door. I hoping the just shove the wore through and they will fall down to where I can get them.

I called crutchfield before I bought these and asked the guy for everything I need since the subs have not cords with them. Called them back and I got "we don't sell that cord sucks to be you".
Might want to find a aftermarket stereo installation shop they may have some that were left behind when installing amplifiers that they may not have used !

These connectors do fine as long as you use the appropriate size for the wire you're tapping into. You can throw a ziptie around it if you're worried about the clamping piece coming open down the road. They ARE difficult to weatherproof though and I'd stay away from them if you're tapping a wire in an exterior location...but this is a discussion for another thread, anyway. Sorry for the tangent, OP.
