Been wanting to change out my Sony speakers for a while now. Always liked JL but a few of my friends have Boston's and love them. Doesn't anyone have an opinion on the two or any other kind?

Focal,hertz, or jl audio are the best. Boston are ok but they can't touch any of those I listed.

JL audio and Boston are of the same quality IMO. JL Audio doesnt belong in the same sentence as Focal thats for sure.

Infinity has been reviewed as the best sound for the money.
I've read that Rockford Fosgate are loud for the money.

I have the JL's... You're going to need a amp to get the full quality out of them... They are crisp and clear... No matter the music... No distortion or crackling at high volume..

focal , hertz , and jl shouldnt be together at all. if you can dish out the money for some hertz speakers youll be in love

I'm wanting focal now.. JL's are great and expensive but I've had them two years and want something new

You should check out the Arc Audio ARC 6.2 component set. They sound awesome. Just ordered some for my truck. Got a good deal on them too. Can't go wrong with the Focals either. I'm just not fond of the tweeters. Too harsh for my taste.
