For around 70-100 bucks you could get a more than adequate 10"-12" that will be far better sounding than any 2/$60 combo and last a heck of a lot longer.
Not trying to lecture, this is just from my experience form my own doings.

Oh man, 2 for under 60? There are certain things you just dont cheap out on, audio equipment is one of them. In my experience, cheaping out equates to poor sound quality and low life span.

well its a 1991 ford reg cab so the best space i can get is 4 1/2" depth with a 13" tall box and i dont need anything real good just make the truck stereo sound better than it does...and i was thinking about going with a JBL BPX500 amplifier that is rated a 500w (2x250w)
p.s. I was only looking for 8" subs cause of the space issue
