Just to let you all know if you would down fire any of those enclosure your output would at minimum double in output.

Never heard of an adapter. Most just tap into the factory wires.

King Nothing how does this sub package sound over stock? twice as good/loud or better?
Im not running the setup I posted, but it will slaughter the stock junk. "Twice as loud" is hard to judge. It will have greater output and sound better

I dont know about doubling output, but you will gain some output. I feel the main advantage of downfiring in these trucks is protecting the sub from damage

For your 2013 there is no plug and play adapter. You can either use a Line Out Converter or buy an amp with high level inputs

Downfiring, or rear loading your sub changes the sound, and how the air flows. with the right box, you can protect is, but with a grill you can protect is better. You're not going to double your sound by downfiring, you're going to get a different feel by changing the way it pushes air.
