Default Better than a kicker soundstage for the same price ?. . . -- prove it

You know you've heard the claim. 'the kicker sound stage costs too much for what you get'. Consider the $500-ish soundstage (subwoofer, amp, plugs, and fixture).
So I come back with the challenge "Ok, so what can you put together that sounds better than the kicker for that general price range?"
My real goal, is to find a subwoofer platform that I can quickly remove from the back of my crew cab on a regular basis. I know many people have claimed there are better platforms than kicker for the money. Now, I'd like to see them (post pictures, and post links to purchasable products)

If you use the amp I linke or any other that has high level inputs you wont need a line out converter. This package will slaughter the kicker substage or the rodney's box with the CVT. Shallow mount subs are inferior by design and the CVT is on the low end of quality even among shallows. The only shallows on the market that are worth using are the Stereointegrity BM and the JL 13tw5, both well over $300 each

(purchased from a local provider, came out to about $500 total, would have been less if ordered online, but 9am this morning, they were open, I was there... you know how that goes. . . )
I already had positaps in place from the previous powered subwoofer (Sound Ordnance 8PTD). I was enjoying the 10 inch sub by 10:30 am . . .

Just testing the sound for now, the amp will be moved behind the back seat, and the sub turned around. But I just wanted to hear it this morning when I bought the goodies. NO sense in hiding wires if it wasn't going to do the job. This does the job.

Notice from my sig, I already have the infinity 6289cf speakers, they have freq response down to 40hz. So the sound ordnance really wasn't adding anything that wasn't already there. The new sub I have set up with no bass boost, and crossover at 80 hz, gain is actually at 'nominal' (middle).

Good for battlestar galactica sound tracks. Good for rock music, good for trance, good for dubstep, good for independent locally recorded artists.

Time for me to stop futzing with speaker improvements, and move on to a tonneau cover . . .

I just ordered the Kicker soundgate PF150C today for my truck. I couldn't pass on the deal I got for it. I work for a major retailer and for the PF150C model that normally cost $1250 as a employee accommodation we only pay $360. I also added the Kicker DS682 speakers for my front and back doors also got a insane price on these. These normally cost $150 I was able to grab them for $40. For the price I paid I figured I would give them a shot I hear a lot of good things about them. I have already upgraded my head unit with the Kenwood DNX571HD with the Maestro interface ( Also purchased with a Employee Accommodation sick price) After I get it all installed I will post some pictures I'm just waiting for it to get here.
