Umm, what year? Do you have the AUX jack in the top tray of the dash? If not, do you have the AUX button on your HU?

Yes. I just got one from Best Buy. It is a kit that allows you to use the AUX feature of your radio to use with the IPOD, or any other MP3 brand for that matter. It was designed for IPOD and will charge it as well. All other brands get played thru the headphone jack on that particular player. I have a Sandisk Sansa player so this was the only thing available to me that was better than the FM modulator.

even on the stock HU, cuz in my old truck i had a aux port on the front of it for just a cord to plug up the ipod or whatever had a head phone jack on it, it would be great if i can play my ipod on stock unit, sometime when i might get a aftermarket HU, and when you plug it up does the ipod shuffle for you and you just hit next on the HU or do you control it on the ipod itself if that makes any since

If you have the 6 disc changer, you have the AUX button. I too have an 05 Lariat. You can use the kit I linked as well.

I am not sure how the IPOD function works as I don't own one. I think I read that all controls are done via IPOD itself. The radio just transmits the sound.

To me, I do not like the look of aftermarket radios so this is a very worthwhile investment.

I like it alot. I have to turn the radio volume up higher than normal to get decent volume but that is an issue with my player I believe. I know $150 is alot, but to keep the factory look, it is well worth the money.
