Default Best Sub Placement

I'm building custom box for 2 JL TW3 12" Subs. Wanted to get feedback on facing them up, down, or forward?

Down or Forward firing are best. Down firing gives the most umph, forward firing gives the most loudness.

I'd opt for down firing.
