Default Best place to buy a new HU

Hello, I was thinking about getting a new head unit, and someone sugested the Pioneer Avic- 2140bh. I know its pricey, but first is it worth it or am I better off just getting one of the older models for cheaper and two where is the best place to purchase from. Thanks, Mark

Default Head Unit

I'd go to Ebay or Amazon first.

X2 for Sonic Electronics...

Bought an in dash DVD player from them and within a week it acted up. I called, got an RMA number, shipped it back, upgraded to another unit, paid difference, and got it in the mail. No issues since.

They will get my business again! Plus, they were the cheapest around.

Go to Crutchfield, especially if you are a newbie to changing HU. They are more pricey than Sonic Electronix but I've noticed on HU they are pretty close. The good thing about Crutchfield is they supply all the adapters you will need for free and they have great support. I bought my HU from them and it was the same price at Sonix. Though I did buy my speakers, amps, and subs at Sonix because the prices were much lower for the same stuff at Crutchfield. I'd stay away from Ebay for sure.

I have bought from Amazon and Crutchfield. Both good and easy returns. eBay depends on the seller

Crutch field does have a good customer service department and if your not sure what your looking or you can call them and they will help you out with everything.... Sonic electronix also does this thing called super savor buys . I love then and they will also send you a free wire harness and mounting kit with the head unit.... What helped out the most on choosing my had unit was lookin at the units they had and then searching it on you tube and wring videos and reviews... So I would start there if your not sure on what to choose.

Or look up what you want/need on Crutchfield, write down the serial number, and buy it on ebay....
