Default Best Double Din Head Unit for the money? (also does someone have speaker box design)

I have a 2008 F150 4D XLT I'm looking to get a better head unit and to build a box to fit under the back seat with two 10in Rockford Shallow subs. Any good head unit suggestions? I'd like to keep the price around $200. Also does anyone have the design and dimensions (or pics) for a speaker box? (how hard is it to install the head unit?) Thanks!!

Both are easy. Deck gets an adapter and you just match wire colors, id recommend getting a prefabbed box by fox acoustics

I'm not sure if you can find a double din for under $200; a good one at that. Because you get what you pay for. I have a Pioneer deck in mine with the faceplate, and it's pretty solid. Looking to upgrade to a double din soon though

Is there no one that has built a box for under the back seat of 04-08? Or anyone know of a thread I couldn't find that would have the details?

I know yours is a different model... but are these the specs you are looking for?

I have built a few boxes for the 04-08 models, so I will see if I can dig up those older pics..

Here are some dimensions and possible cubic feet for a sub box in a 97-03 supercab. I created a program to optimize my volume given the space I had possible. I ran some more complicated programs, but the one I am posting here should be easy to see and decipher.

Hope this helps
