@Canadian Boyz

I've done a couple installs with the Punch P400, its a very solid amp. How do you like it so far?

so your wanting a 4 channel or a sub amp? you cant go wrong with any amp with a zenon board, they are all awesome amps, i.e. dc audio, sundown audio, crescenod, audioque...etc...and all those brands have mono and 4 channel amps, they are kinda spendy but you get every bit of what you pay for

Amps are the one part of a sound system where you really can't go cheap for quality unless buying used. Skip out on the mainstream and on the stuff made in Asia. Go straight for the goods: Arc Audio, Zapco, Audison, etc.

While not audiophile quality, I've always had success with fosgate equipment. I still have the punch 45 I bought in high school in '85... and have beat that thing to death. Typically constrained to my workbench, it keeps on ticking. I loaned it out recently to a friend who is having problems with his Sundown 125.2.

Sorry for the thread-jack.

I just installed 4 Boston Acoustics S85 door speakers in my 08’ SCREW. They are direct fit to the factory holes and installed all 4 in less than an hour. The front door speakers can be installed without removing the panel, you just have to remove the grills. The back doors require removal of the door panels. They cost $168 for all 4 including shipping. I got them from Crutchfield so the wiring harnesses came with them. I am powering them with the factory deck. The S85’s have a very low power requirement so you don’t have to add an amp or new deck if you don’t want to. They sound 100X better than stock. If you have the factory sub, it’s a perfect combo. I don’t want an aftermarket deck because I know it will just get stolen in Dallas. I 100% recommend them.

I put the BA SE85's in my rear doors and the SE50's components in the front (so I had to take off all 4 door panels), but I agree that they are way better than the stock drivers.

Agreed, I already had a sub under the back seat. I was just tired of not being able to hear any of the words in the songs. If you are looking for a Comp style system, you need actual component speakers with tweeters, cross-overs, amp and deck with sound deadening in the doors. But if you just want a big improvement over stock, and have less than $200 to spend, the S85’s are worth it for sure.
