Head unit to replace 2012 Factory Navigation?
Looking for one that supports Car Play and wondering if I should go with the Nav unit or not. I have a Kenwood DDX371 right now, but its a bit outdated, and looked at some Kenwood (online of course) that will work with the Maestro RR. One that I ran across a video on was the DNX570HD which has the Nav and car play, and with the RR integration also has the vehicle information including TPMS and gauges.
I would like something like this, but that radio is discontinued.
Shoot some brands/models that are good so I can decide. It will be going in my F350 to replace the old outdated, no longer has new maps available Navigation unit once the Sirius trial ends.

On my old truck, I bought a Pioneer NEX with Android auto capabilities. I really liked the stereo a lot but if I were to do it again, I would opt for a stereo with Nav built in with Android auto/Carplay capability. I found that the Android Auto would lose reception in the mountain ranges so then I had no NAV available but in the city areas it was great.

Thats the one thing I have concerns on. I have used GM to route via Carplay, and I think they resolved it, but back then every time I stopped to get gas, or rest, I had to go back into GM and reload the destination. It also caused all kinds of issues with the rest of the system, so stopped using it.
I had stopped at BestBuy last night just to get a look at the various units, two of which I have an interest in, and had a couple questions. Why is it, when you go to one of these places, when all you are doing is looking, you get swarmed, but when you are there to actually GET HELP, no one is around, OR whoever is, comes from the wrong department.
The brands are Alpine, Pioneer, JVC and Kenwood. I think I may stick with Kenwood since I have a DDX371 that I had in a couple vehicles and it worked quite well. Unfortunately it does not do car play, or I would just install that instead.

DMX575S is on the way. I said screw it and found the least expensive Kenwood Nav and ordered it. Now to find a couple dash cam's. I want one that I can transfer easily between the trucks, and one for my wife's car. The Kenwood 301a has some nice features, but @ $219 each, not feasible at this time, and the rear camera is fixed.
