Any ideas on what is causing the check engine light to be on?

It blew the fuse... Did I wire it wrong? Or do I need a fuse bigger than 10 amps for the head unit?

Ok ever thing is working fine except now my check engine light is on... Wft. It's 2am though and I'm going to get some sleep.
You wired something wrong.

Check engine light went out on its own and the fuse hasn't blown again. Everything is working fine... The only thing I could think of is I have a relay to bypass the parking brake. It may have grounded it self out so I insulated all the terminals on it... We'll see what happens

When you installed it, did you disconnect the battery prior to install?

This could cause some of the symptoms you are having.

Im about to install this : http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...rs/AVH-P3400BH with the harness told in the first post... was it hard? im good at mechanic but not so much about electrical stuff.. i guess the worst that can happen is that i blow a fuse is its plug wrong! I looked at all the wire and it look pretty straight forward!!

If you use the correct harness you won't have a problem
