Default Audio system power question

I am in the middle of installing a 2400 watts RMS system in my 2009 XLT. can I get away with swapping out the battery for a good deep cycle and upgrading the cables. Or am I going to have to upgrade alternator to a high output?

There are threads on doing the Big 3. Is a deep cycle battery even a good starting battery?
You will need to see how many amps your new system will draw. Many 2400 watt amps are very overrated.
