Default Anybody running Alpine SPR-60C's? Or SPR-68

Guys/ Gals,
I am looking to run the Alpine SPR-60C's in the front doors (tweeters in stock A-pillar position) and the SPR-68's in the rear.

Does anybody else run these? What are your thoughts? Thinking of No Amp off the bat. Maybe later.

Even if you don't have them- what are others thoughts? Good pick?
Reason I chose Alpine is I had a set of their components in my old truck and they were best sounding speakers I've heard.

I just put SPR-68s in all 4 doors, not amped. I like them. Very clear. They had a little thump in them, but that was compared to the stock Sony's.

They are half the cost on amazon than from where you linked them here.

I just installed the SPR-68 in the rear doors this weekend, and an old set of SPR-17LS 6.5s upfront. Even on the stock amp they sound much better, but tonight the console is coming out to wire in the new amp!

Its a lot of work, but making filler panels, using sound deadening, and closing off any hole you can, makes a large difference in mid-bass response.

The Type-R's are good speakers. I would strongly suggest against not getting them from Sonic Electronics though. They're not an authorized dealer. Any kind of car electronics should be bought through an authorized dealer.

Sonic has a great reputation in the car audio world. I wouldn't hesitate to order anything from them, authorized or not. Ordered from them many times

I would say the exact opposite. They have a very bad reputation. Plus with any manufacturer buying from them voids the warranty.

I have rarely seen a negative comment on them and I frequent several major car audio sites where people use sonic all the time. If you want a warranty buy from a car audio shop and pay double. You don't shop discount websites for the warranty
