Well, if you don't end up finding anybody to give you some free dynamat, you should do a little reading at sounddeadenershowdown.com .

Question Down Firing Subs and Dampening

Am I going to want to apply ALL SORTS of dampening products to the floor of my truck?

The sub enclosure I am planning on purchasing is a down firing box with a standard 1-3 inches of clearance b/w the woofer and the carpeting.

I am not a fan of hearing the Philharmonic Orchestra on the inside of the cab and Stomp on the exterior. Would anyone with this particular set up care to comment for me?

Cheers

I wouldn't put any asphalt based stuff in my truck due to possible smell and adhesion problems.
