Default Anybody found a solution to f150 Stock overhead DVD player

Hello everyone

I know, this have been addressed so many times but no one seems to know the solution to it, and all the threads are few years old now.

long story short, I have upgraded my 04 F150 lariat head unit with an android one, but I have lost the use of my overhead DVD player, and kids are on a hunger strike right now until it get fixed.

lot of hours spent on the phone with techs all over north America and reading on forums but no one seem to know a solution to this nerve wrecking problem. all suggestions tend to point towards FRD04 DVD but this adapter does not list f150 as a compatible vehicle and even this canbus adapter seem to be impossible to find with no substitution.

the problem with this overhead dvd, is it is controlled with canbus so once you remove your "crappy" OEM head unit you loose the DVD as well.

any solutions?

Thanks for the reply but that adapter uses the factory RSE connector (if unused ) and converts it into a usable aux inputs, in my case I want to use the DVD player just like when it was connected to stock HU.
