You have obviously never listened to a Bose system.

The Bose system in my wife's Tahoe was fantastic for a stock stereo. It needed a sub, but was great otherwise

They definitely have awesome home systems, I have a Bose home theater that shakes the windows with the lows, the high's, well actually the most complete coverage over the entire frequency range. Had a Kenwood system before and there is no comparison. The Bose wins.

Maybe they should stick to home audio, I've never listened to an automotive system they make so I can't compare that.
