Well I have had the system in since last fall (not very long) and it has always done this yes....Im running the JVC KD-PDR80

does all the power actually shut off? on the deck too? just the amp?

The deck stays on as far as I can tell, I guess the easiest way to explain it is it just sounds like it skips. I just get no sound for like a second if that.

ok, and is it just no sound out of the sub? and are your door speakers ran of your hu?

yes my door speakers are ran from my HU, and its no sound from everything....

i would say check all the wiring behind your deck, double check that all connections are 100% tight...its one of two things, either its a loose wire behind your deck, or the deck itself....jvc's have a rep of not lasting long

well, I checked all the wires and put the dash back together...don't seem to have the problem as of right now..and I didn't do anything..lol I don't know what is going on! I do use alot of burnt cd's does that possibly cause skipping more than a purchased cd?
