Anone has ktp-445 with other amp for subs?
I have been trying to figure this out and I am just confusing myself. I have a 2010 4x4 screw with standard 6-cd changer. I want to get the alpine KTP-445 amp for the door speakers and another amp for the subs. Do you think the 445 or the 445U would be better? I just called crutchfield and the guy told me the only way to get another amp is to get a line level input converter with an amp with Pre outs, or get an amp with speaker level inputs. Is a line level input the blue harness what goes from wire to RCA? Would that be all that I need?

Either should work, but the U doesn't come with the Alpine connectors on it. Basically the U would probably be easier.
Line Level Input Converter = Line Output Converter or LOC. It takes the head unit amplified signal and changes it to a lower pre-amp/RCA level. They run 10-20 bucks pretty much anywhere you get car audio equipment. You'll splice it into the speaker wires, and then connect RCAs to run to your amp.
