Dont bother. Your current PPI amp is good enough and fairly powerful. A watt is a watt for the most part and one amp wont "sound" better than another assuming the same power and no EQ's being used. I'd keep that amp and use the money for better speakers if youre wanting an upgrade in sound. Speakers are the most important component of your stereo and will do the most by far to determine how your systems sounds.

The PPI is almost twice as powerful as the JL. The JL is a better quality amp, but I doubt you would notice the difference.

What is your source unit?

If you don't have a DSP consider adding one as they can do amazing things for sound quality.

Hi and thanks-

Alpine Restyle X009-FD2

sundown SAZ-1000D > (2) sundown audio SD-3 10 D4 wired to 1 ohm

Precision Power P900.4 > JL Audio C3-570(rears) and the C5-570 (front)

thanks-

Looks like a good setup. I have a Alpine CDE-164BT in my fox body that has a decent DSP built in with time alignment so you can get it tuned pretty good. However, the Audison Bit Ten DSP in my truck is light years better for tuning. You could also run your front stage active to allow for even finer tuning.
