Default Amp and sub

So I tried putting an amp and sub with the stock head unit we put the RCA in the front behind the head unit and tried to wire it to the rear speaker from up there. It didn't work. Could I be running it to the wrong wire up front or do I have to move the RCA to the rear and wire directly to the rear speaker like that?

It could be the wrong wire. It doesn't matter where you tap in for the signal. Are you using an LOC? Does your amp support high and low level? Is the amp receiving power?

The amp is receiving power just not enough to power fully on. And what's an LOC?

LOC = line out converter. Converts to low level signal. The signal you are getting from your HU is a high level (speaker level) signal so you would require a LOC, unless your amp supports high level inputs. I would first make sure your amp is getting proper power before anything else because nothing you do will work until then.

You are better off tapping the rear speaker wires. Then you know you have the correct ones. Are you running a power wire from the battery to your amp? Use an amp wiring kit...

Also I would like to set up some new tweeters, they're the only thing I haven't tinkered with yet and I'm not too familiar with good brands for them any recommendations for them?
