Good luck. There's nothing more frustrating than an itch you can't scratch or an amp that won't work lol

I think I have it working how it's supposed to now. I ended up putting in a fuse tap instead of wrapping the remote wire around the fuse. I sanded down my ground point even more. And finally I connected my LOC to the rear speaker instead of the factory sub wires. I think if it ends up messing up again I'm going to try a different LOC
Did he fix the voltage drop?

He said the issue was either my ground or the LOC being wired to the factory sub instead of the rear speaker. I honestly didn't think what I did would work but the amp ran fine on my commute to work this morning.

Just so you know..there are multiple write-ups on line about how poor/distorted the stock sub signal is. not that it had anything to do with your problem...but when the volume is turned up the OEM sub signal is horrible...better off using the rear door speakers for your LOC. then use the crossover in your amp...

I've seen a few posts about that. I just didn't think it would cause me any problems. The only reason I used the stock sub wiring in the first place is because I was following the steps I found on a write up that did it that way.

Problems? well not really problems..just crappy sounding bass. See, what happens is the higher you turn the volume the more the OEM sub signal distorts. Now you are taking that distorted signal, putting it through a LOC, which in essence isnt the cleanest sounding equipment out there...so you are even adding some more distortion. Now you are taking that distorted signal, and amplifying it by your amp..which is a pretty decent amp.

since going through all the trouble of getting "better" sound....just want to let you know you can get a much cleaner signal using the rear door signal...yuo can find the wires easily in the pillar between your doors

Ok, so my problem is back. The amp works great for about 3-5 minutes on low volume. When I turn the volume up a little bit it will shut down. I have no idea what the problem is. The only thing I can possibly think of is either the LOC I installed is a POS or the wiring I have is garbage.

Has as anybody ever experienced anything like this? Louder volume causes the amp to shut down. And btw the volume isn't that loud. Im only turning it to about 2/5 of the max volume

It all comes back to this:

Usually LOC have a gain **** on them... Where are your LOC gains set? I'd start with them at all counter clockwise.. Turn your amp gains all down also.. Then turn you head unit to like 3/4... Try then turning your amp gains up .. See if it's sounding better? If not then turn the LOC gain up a little and then try again with the amp gain.. You are matching levels here...
