Do you have an in line fuze of some sort?? Make sure it is not burnt. Does the light on the amp come on when you turn on the vehicle and put the radio on???

If you are sure the power, ground and turn on are good, disconnect the rca's and the speaker wire. If it stays on protect, the amp is broke. If it comes on connect the rca's and then the speaker wire until the red light comes on to find out what is causing it to go to protect. If the red light comes on only when the speakers are hooked up, then you have a short in the wiring or speaker itself causing a very low to no resistance.

It ended up being fried
