Amp install troubles
Had some audio installed today and they mustve tapped into the wrong fuse to turn the amp on/off. The amp will shut off when the ignition is off but have not yet opened the doors. This kills audio to my front components.
I'd like for it to run like it did stock where the amps stay on until i open the door. I looked in the fuse box and it seems they didnt tap ino the delayed accessory fuse ('13 screw non-sony).
Fuse #38 seems to be the right fuse for this. Was suggested an add-a-fuse to use in this location for it to resolve my problem. Anyone with experience that could walk me thru it?
Installer gave me some BS about thats how the amp is designed, obviously wrong...right?

Your 100% correct. The amps remote turn on wire needs to be tapped into a fuse with "delayed accessory power." There's probably multiple fuses that you could use, I used fuse #9 it's the first and only fuse I checked. #38 is listed as having "DAP".
Where is the amp currently getting its remote power?
The amp is designed to be on whenever it has power on the remote wire.

I used fuse 38 with add-a fuse. Turns on / off with the delayed accessories. Not sure what the installers problem is, this is by far the most popular method.
