So I just purchased a set of 6.5" components. They need 100w RMS a piece at 4 ohms..

Amazon Amazon

I'm trying to figure out an amp that would work in my situation.. I've looked a couple kicker amps, but I'm just confused. Thanks dudes..

I've looked at the hifonics before, are they a cheap brand? And I'm going to let the back speakers just run off the HU, so I only need a 2 channel amp I think? Or are 2 channel amps made for subs?

Well hifonics isn't the best brand out there but it's budget minded. So a budget would help and you said 100rms a peice do you mean that's what you want per side or per pair. And also you said your powering the back sets with head unit. If your gains are set correctly on the amp then when you turn up the front ones all the way with no distortion you will be killing the back set with bad signal from the head unit and may blow them. My suggestion would be to get either a 4channel amp and back the gain down to the back set for clear signal all around and better sound quality or just get that two channel and run the left front and year set on one channel and right front and rear on one channel and get the full 400rms or whatever it's rated out of that amp.

look up Sundown Audio, they got a 100.4(im running) and 125.2, either should be enough power if youre running 1 or 2 sets.

Be careful loading these with more than 100w. With a sensitivity rating of 92db/w, you can potentially reach 113db, at that point location is critical.
Also that rating is for a perfectly sealed enclosure, a door panel is not sealed.
To me 50-75 watts would be about right, that will bring you into the 107 - 110db range.

They're like any other brand. They have high-end items and "budget" items. I've been running the 100.4 for about a week now and haven't had any problems with it. My speakers are 2ohm though, so they're actually getting 200w. I just have the gain turned nearly all the way down.

If I were you, I'd go ahead and amp the rear speakers too. You're already there, why not get them all?
