Default All done, I think.

Think I'm finally done with my 2012 Sony upgrade. Final components are as follows:

Audiocontrol lcq-1
JBL p560c in front
JBL p562 in rear
Alpine mrp-300 (75 x 4)
Alpine mrp-500 (500 x 1)
JL cp208 lg

I'm really happy with everything and if you saw my progress posts you know I bought and returned a few items. My favorite part really is how quiet it is. Meaning noise. I had engine noise when I finished up but finally traced it and fixed it. When. Turn the HU down or off there's not even any hiss. Perfect.

I did a very similar install in my truck a few weeks ago. Went with the Alpine MRX-F30 and MRX-M50 for the amps, Boston SR series speakers and a single Kicker SoloBaric L7 8". LCQ1 and remote **** to go with it. The LCQ1 makes all the difference in the world.

I'll bet that sounds REALLY nice.

It definitely does my friend. The Sound Ordnance always felt like it was "trying" to get there. I find my self constantly reaching for the LCQ-1 bass **** to dial it back just a hair. Very hard hitting, and clean. I'm not 100% sold on the JBL door speakers yet. They mostly sound awesome but certain songs just seem to lack. I still think that has to do with mp3 quality maybe. Because on the right song they scream loud and clear. More EQ tuning to come.

Same - I'm still doing some tuning. I find myself missing on the mid-bass side. I don't know if it's the speakers though. It's kind of difficult to ask a 5x7 or a 5.25 speaker to produce decent mid-bass. Trying to do a lot of overlapping with the sub, but that creates other issues.

Let me know how your Polk setup pans out and we can compare notes.

My suggestion... Let your sub do what it's designed for. Yes it can do Mid-Bass (120hz+) but it'll drown how the highs. My suggestion, use it for thump... 35hz-70hz range, steep roll off at 80hz... let your door speakers handle that work load. My old set up had the crossover for the sub at 50hz. Fluid through the entire hz spectrum.

My two cents... keep the change.
