AfterMarket Tweeters
I am starting a fiberglassed door panel project in the next few weeks with kicker component speakers. I do not have factory tweeters and my questions are how would I wire them and would I need to put them on an amp along with the components because they are not wired to an amplifier.

If you're running coax speakers there is no reason to add tweeters unless you just hate your ears. There is no need for more than one set of tweeters unless you're running more than 5,000 watts in your sub stage. The whole point of component sets is to bring the sound stage up on the dash in front of you and increased midbass response by not having the woofer blocked by the tweet. And I know everyone starts somewhere but if you're actually glassing your panels to fit more than one speaker in each door I would HIGHLY recommend getting a couple good 6.5 mid bass speakers and one set of tweeters.

I'm really just doing it for looks. This is the plan and without a tweeter there it would just look awkward. I know kicker makes a 3-1/4" coax speaker that I could put up there I guess.

ballin' on a budget. But seriously, they aren't what I could "find". They're what I already have and I'm just redoing the look. I think I've got it figured out.. Thanks for the input everyone
