Can't go wrong with a Kenwood for that price. If I was replacing my HU that's the one I'd buy. It's even Maestro compatible for those with Sync.

You should also upgrade the door speakers. An amp can wait until you see how much the new HU and speakers sound.

Yeah. I plan on modding the truck bit by bit. Level and wheels/tires are first on the list. But for $100-150 I can probably convince the wife to agree. She knows how much I love music (she makes fun of me for grabbing my ipod for a 5 minute drive).

I recently got a 2007 f150 screw Lariat and replaced door speakers and upgraded head unit to a pioneer that has DVD, Bluetooth, aux port, sat radio capable, etc and I paid $525.00 through crutchfield. Pretty reasonable for what all you get. I got head unit, 4 speakers, install kit, wiring kit, steering wheel control module, Siriusxm module. Sounds way better. I didn't break my bank with the speakers, just went with a nice set of pioneer 4ways. As soon as im ready to install my subs then my doors witll get amplified as well with a 5 channel under the passenger seat. I think when im all done ill still be close or just a little under $1000. hopefully

Yeah you can't go wrong with Crutchfield..at times their prices are a little high compared to others but you can not beat their customer service, it is by far top notch. I had a Nav HU go haywire about 2 months after I purchased it from Crutchfield. No problem at all. Got a RMA for defective unit, new unit sent in a matter of days and returned defective part without a hiccup or delay.

Crutchfield is definitely clutch. I love their compatibility check.

Also don't be afraid of your local Craigslist. I was actually looking for an earlier model Pioneer and sure enough, a kid put one is his brand new car and 3 months later totalled his car. Got the head unit for 300 less than the list price.

That's awesome. I am hoping that I can find one with the right wiring harnesses.
