60 watt focal in the front and 60 watt fosgate in the rear since crutchfield said focal wouldnt fit in back door of my screw. 60 watt rms per channel amp. jbl I think. $149ish for focal and they do sound better than the $60 fosgate in the rear. Amp gain set to about 20% and they rock but pop real bad with very little bass added. A sub is a must. I have to turn the bass to -2 on the factory HU and set the amp to high pass and to strip out all the bass I can from the door speakers. With the HU bass set to 0 some where around 40% volume they start to pop. Even on country. Bottoming out from what ive read. Once you've stripped out all the bass you can do 100% volume with Ozzy with no problem other than your ears bleeding. It gets way too loud.

The 682.11 are a little beefier than the 682.9 speakers...no probelms? Size or weight wise?

I had to cut the two end screw holes on the speaker frame for the rear doors, other than that, it fits perfectly.

I bought a set of the kicker k68 speakers with the adapter pigtails. Did not replace the tweeters yet but that is on the list to get done. They sound much better then the factory stuff. The mids and highs are much clearer, bass seems to be more solid. Overall very happy with it.

I have infinity kappas in all 4 doors with a 4 channel amp pushing 100 watt rms each. Sounds super clean and pretty loud. I bought last year model speakers, so they were about half price and sound just as nice.

I run Infinity Kappa 5x7's right now. If I were going to run speakers off an amp I would choose Polk MM components hands down. I plan to upgrade them to the coaxial MM's eventually. The Kappa's are one of the best sounding speakers I have heard running off a HU.

I did run them off my HU for awhile, but i wanted them louder. They did sound nice and clear even before the amp

Infinity 682.9cf off of sonic electronics. They are $79 a pair. They fit in the factory locations without any modifications

I should note that I never tried them off of the factory head unit. the first thing I did when I got the truck was to put in a nice single din pioneer head unit with 3 pairs of rca outputs (front, rear, sub).
