Default Advent oe navi unit OFO1501, ADC Mobile unprofessional

So i need some help to see if this advent unit will shut off with the key, right now constant power.

Backround:

purchase advent oe navi unit for my 2010 ford f150 fx4, advertise on adc mobile 2009-2013. Before i purchase asked a million questions, simple install with adapter and retains all oem functions.

I installed 2 problems steering wheel vol and track changer no functionality and constant power unit only powers off when i hold power button.

I contact audiovox and they told me because its an early 2010, the unit is not compatible with my truck. Im hoping that they were just being negligent because besides those two things everything else works.

I can do without steering wheel controls but the constant power is bound to leave me stranded with a dead battery.

Can anyone help

I am not sure of your issue. All my steering wheel controls and Sync work. When I turn off the truck I can still hear the fan but when I open the door it shuts down. ADC Mobile was no help?

I told them i was willing to lose steering wheel controls but to at least help me get the unit to power off with the acc delay or with the key. They just started helping long replies because of different time zones

On the wiring harness on the Advent unit. There is a pig tail wire that is labeled ignition. Splice this into a wire and run this wire over to your fuse panel on the passenger side, under the glove box. Purchase a tap fuse and install it into slot number 41. Splice wire from Advent unit into this tap fuse. This slot 41 will provide a trigger to the Advent unit and will turn off the Advent unit after 10 minutes or until the door is opened. I also use this slot 41 for powering my preamp.

Did the post right above regarding fuse 41 not seem to work for some reason?

I'm having same problem.... so frustrating when you purchase something so expensive that's plug and play and doesn't work. I installed my yesterday and only manually turns off when I push the power button and hold. Could use some advise please

shout out to Walt @ adcmobile.com I purchased and Advent oe unit for my 2010 F150. After researching, and countless you tube videos it appears that this unit as advertised does not come plug n play for my year style. But it can be hooked up, and Walt was a great guy to talk to he offered a few tips. I really appreciated the help.

tapping into the red ignition wire and running it over with a tap fuse worked for me! I got power on and off know with the turn of a key! I also do not have illumation around my advent **** or the buttons on top. anyone have to use the illumination wire on the back of the harness and run that over the the fuse panel and use a splice connector to the illumination wire that I think is violet/white. can anyone give suggestions?
